WE’RE A DOWN TO EARTH, FEET ON THE GROUND, DON’T MIND GETTING OUR HANDS DIRTY SORT OF COMPANY.

One of our directors, Jonno Webber, established J&R Contracting in 1995. Back then we were mainly a directional drilling company with a small crew working primarily on installing sewer, comms and gas ducting.

Over time open trenching was added to our capability which enabled us to undertake more complex, larger scale projects. This has meant adding new technologies and new services such as drainage, subdivisional and reinstatement works.

We’re now a mid-size company, that plays its part in projects that have a major impact on the New Zealand economy. We have developed the capability, resources and experience to run large projects and can also add value when engaged as a subcontractor.

Here’s one last thing that’s important to the way in which we operate. We aim to make doing business with us easy and enjoyable. This means always being available, being well organised, showing respect, communicating regularly and clearly, and just getting on with it.

Small changes eventually add up to big results.
